Day-5, Trip to Tokyo

November 30, 2007

Today I left Japan, uh…so bad. We left the Narita Kikusui Hotel at about 7:30 am, and arrived at Narita Airport half an hour later. The check-in was smooth although I had to wait for about half an hour since my flight check-in counter was opened at 08:30. While in Narita, I spent my last coins with buying something for my amigos in Indonesia.  The flight to Indonesia was a transit, means the flight straight to Denpasar, Bali and then continued to Jakarta at 23:00 at night.

When I arrived at Denpasar, I had to wait for about 5 hours in order to proceed the next flight to Jakarta…This is hilarious…why customer should be treated like this. Maybe next time I shouldn’t use this flight…I advice using SQ instead of GA.

Today, I arrived at Jakarta at 01:00 am in the morning, and have to get up at 6:00 in order to go work, yup…pretty up there.
But there’s one thing that cheers me up today, My  new development server that I order last week has already arrived and ready to installed, so we’re on schedule buddy…hehehe.

Day-4, Trip to Tokyo

November 30, 2007

We went to Narita, it’s near Chiba, Tokyo. We’re so lucky that there’s a huge temple called Naritasan Temple, It’s a Japanese Buddhist temple which has a new Gate, so there are a lot of people and the views was very artistic.

Naritasan temple…there’s only 1 word to describe it “HUGE”, it took me almost half day to explored the whole site. There’s a massive Pagoda, an old scripture, lots of statues and other beautiful sight seeings.

Last thing I did here was take a snap picture with a monk, hehehe…
Although the trip at Naritasan is my last activity in Japan, It’s really the best experience I’ve ever had in my entire life.

Really I don’t want to go back to Indonesia, I hope someday I could be posted here in My organization headquarter at Tokyo. I wish…hehehehe

Day-3, Trip to Tokyo

November 30, 2007

I also wake up early first in the morning, although it’s freezing outside but the temptation of Kawasaki was really massive inside of me. I took a jogging around Kawasaki up to the bridge where we could see the sea very close. The meeting itself started at 9:00, I was picked up by Shimazaki san, my colleague from HQ Tokyo and walked together to Kawasaki Tech where the meeting was held.

At The meeting today, I presented about our current network and local ERP situation, the people at AJITEC was really helpful and very warm. The lunch today was with “Bento” with combination of beacon and sea food along with wasabi sauce, really tempting.

The meeting for ASEAN project was over this evening, we got some conclusions and some schedule to look after when we back to our country. Afterwards, we proceeded with went to a restaurant at Hotel Nikko, Kawasaki. Here, we ate sukiyaki and drank a lot of Sake and also some Beers. Somehow, the waitress is so cute, I took a liberty to ask her to go out with me (NoT..hehehehe) only to take a picture with me.

Afterwards, at around 10:30 PM, we finished the dinner and continue to another occasion which was forced by Orike san, one of the AJITEC chief IT specialist, this guy probably the craziest person among us (Keep up the good work buddy!). We went to a small bar near Takeru district near Kawasaki Mall. What a coincidence we met with other AJITEC member here, we really had a good time here, yeah really good time until 1:00 AM in the morning, hehehehe. Actually we still proceeded another trip with visiting a Night Club still near Kawasaki, but I think I shouldn’t tell the stories since it’s so Japanese Style (If u know what I mean…hehehe) and make us totally passed out, If I’m not mistaken we got back to the Hotel at around 4:00 am in the morning…yeah it’s awesome.

Day-2, Trip to Tokyo

November 26, 2007

Today I got up early in the morning, and had a jogging around Kawasaki distric, but not far from my Hotel (Hotel METS). Afterwards I proceeded with prepared myself for the meeting. The meeting itself started at 9:00 am  (in Indonesia time, it’ll be 7:00 am), the project it’s about “Enterprise Application Integration” or EAI, it’s about integrating the whole ERP in our organization into SAP/R3 at Tokyo site. It’s pretty cool, but requires discipline and determination on both sites (Tokyo and Indonesia).

Apparently, the launch time in Japan it’s quite different with Indonesia site time, we took a break at 12:00 PM, and we  walked down the Kawasaki Tech sidewalk towards a Korean restaurant called “Sakuro”. The food was delicious, it’s a mixture of beef and beacon combined with Japanese sauces. Really, that’s the best mixture I’ve ever seen.

Launch-2

And after the meeting was over(It’s about 5:00 PM), I went to Kawasaki Mall with a colleagues of mine (Shimazaki-san), he accompanied me to look up souvenirs for my amigos in Indonesia. I bought chocolates, onion consomme, and other stuff. Afterwards we proceeded with dinner…This is the amazing part. We went to a Sushi House at Kawasaki Mall. We ate at least 8 different fishes and 2 glasses of “Sake”, Damn…That’s the hardest liquor I’ve ever drank in my entire life. Afterwards, we ate Wasabi Ice Cream as the Dessert. Since the Sake was quite strong, we need to neutralize it with consuming Japanese Tea, this particular tea was really bitter but really helped me to get back to my Hotel…hehehe..Japanese Tea

I think that’s all for today, we continue the the live report tommorow, Konbanwa…Good Night.

Day-1, Trip to Tokyo

November 25, 2007

Today I’ve arrived at Narita Airport, Tokyo, Japan. It’s a great opportunity that I could attend an ASEAN project meeting at AJITEC, Kawasaki for the next day. It’s so much fun and so much new adventures I’ve had today, from the vending machine, buying JR ticket from a tremendous automatic machine and also until I come and see myself our headquarter.

Tonight I’ll take a break, since I’m so tired wandering around Kawasaki like a bunch of kid seing new things, hahahaha…

T ommorow the meeting will be full time, so better prepared, ciao.Tokyo Station
